mAbGen, L.L.C. was founded with a powerful vision to develop the next generation of therapeutic drugs and give patients hope for healthier lives. mAbGen, L.L.C. is a patient-centric, science-based and product-driven company focused on producing innovative, effective, and high quality monoclonal antibodies to fulfill the unmet medical needs of patients suffering from infectious disease, cancer, and related immunological disease.
We believe that monoclonal antibodies present the greatest opportunity to develop the next generation of therapeutics. Additionally, we believe that recent advances in the related fields of genomics and proteomics will greatly accelerate the development of monoclonal antibodies by expanding our knowledge of disease targets.
Starting with our vision in late 2001, we identified patient populations with significant clinical needs that were not being adequately met by conventional medicines and drug discovery approaches. By starting with a patient focus, we gained significant insight into the patients' therapeutic needs. We then worked to identify, capture, and develop novel technologies specifically to meet these therapeutic needs. The culmination of these efforts, in August 2002, was the creation of the mAbGen, L.L.C. Platform, designed to rapidly develop completely human monoclonal antibodies. We believe the mAbGen, L.L.C. Platform will significantly advance the development and utilization of monoclonal antibodies for patient care.
